On the morning of January 1, I was in Malacca visiting my grandmother. She owns a rubber estate nearby and so, I decided to visit it. It was a productive visit, methinks:

Nice photo! Not much green in the cities anymore and I did remember that this landscape was the norm years ago around the Subang Airport and around the National Zoo.
Now its a concrete jungle full of plants from elsewhere!
Bring back the green! And while the powers-that-be are at it, apart from merging plantation companies, can anyone figure out the logic of burning and clearing forests to plant oil palm trees for bio-diesel to save the planet from global warming.
