[408] Of let there be light

Some rights reserved

Marvelous in my opinion. I was tearing my voicebox at the 12th row in the Big House. My throat was in pain for almost a week but I got a sexy voice for a return. =)

Down on the ground, Michigan was kicking Miami Ohio’s sorry ass 43 to 10. This of course, happened almost two weeks ago. So sad to see a week later, Notre Dame screwed us to kingdom come. To come to think of it, I think our goddamn offense screwed our own team. Sigh…

This week, San Diego. The Wolverines are hungry.

[368] Of the Dutch versus the Czech

Currently at halftime with the scoreline of 2 to 1 in the Dutch’s favor. Bouma of PSV Eindhoven and Nistelrooy of Manchester United (former of PSV too) put the Dutch in the lead below the 20 minutes mark. Koller pulled one up for the Czech a few minutes after Nistelrooy’s goal.

If the Dutch could hold out the Czech this time, I believe they will have an easy route to the second round.

Hup Holland Hup!

2. Galasek has just been swapped. Here to you Galasek, fellow Ajacied!

[360] Of here to there and back again

If life were measured in degree, I would have returned the starting line. I would have returned to the place where it all started, where it all begun.

December is fast approaching and I wish I could delay time, or at least lengthen my road to a bachelor degree till April 2005. What a wishful thinking.

I know what I want to do after graduation, at least temporarily. It will be World Wide Fund for Nature or maybe Greenpeace for real. I’ve been donating some money to them and I will want to donate more than money.

And I am in the final phrase of salvaging my summer plan. With about 2000 bucks in my pocket set aside for this, it will be depressing if this doesn’t go through.

Anyway, Top of the Park, Ann Arbor Summer Festival starts this Friday and will last well into July. This should be my last Festival. I have never missed it since I first got here, and I am not planning on missing this edition.

Let us celebrate summer as if this is the last summer ever!

[351] Of greenish sky

There was a crazy and strong storm just now in Ann Arbor.

I stood something like 30 to 40 meters from the trees. Notice how much the trees swayed! Well, maybe it doesn’t look like it was bad but it was! And look at this, roughly thirty minutes later:

There was even a power disruption that lasted a few second! According to Common Monkeyflower, there was even a tornado in Chelsea!P/s – there is an Environmental Defense meetup this Wednesday at Zingerman’s but I don’t know whether I want to attend or not, yet.

[341] Of more on A² and gas prices

The gas prices in Ann Arbor seem to have taken a rest today but yesterday, on average it went higher by a few cents when compared to the day before. On that day, Shell and BP probably had the highest price. I got picture of it for you!

Can’t wait to see the day when the average gas price hits $3.00 per gallon. Why am I excited? So that I could see more of this:

And yeah:

So what should we be doing? Here’s a hint: We can neither drill nor conquer our way out of the problem. Whatever we do, oil prices are going up. What we have to do is adapt.

It’s Krugman on gas prices. To my understanding, the crux is, the demand curve is shifting up and the supply curve is going down.

Alternative energy now!
