Damn, must be getting old. You’re right.
It’s mostly prices. The drop in export volume was marginal; import volume actually rose.
Hmmm, import volume fell no?
“In May 2013, the import value posted a decline of 2.3% from RM54.2 billion where the
import volume index decreased 9.7% to 107.9 points.” http://www.statistics.gov.my/portal/images/stories/files/LatestRelease s/trade/Indices/bi/EXTERNAL_TRADE_INDICES_MAY2013_BI.pdf
*cringe*
That’s not a good sign.
Far-East to Europe exports also declined for the 4th consecutive month.
Hmm, round 3 then?
